Hello Dear Ones,
On this Earth Day, I wanted to record something special - a bonus meditation- to mark the day. For the last few months, I have been sitting with a practice that is an offering to the Earth.
More often than not, we show up to our meditation practice with ourselves {or other humans} at center. Perhaps we rest on the Earth and ask for the support we need, release our heartache into the river, or invite cleansing through the action of wind. We ask for what we need, but how often do we show up to our practice and place Earth first? How often do we set aside ourSelves and instead offer up everything to and for the animate Earth that we so gladly receive from?
The Cycle of Reciprocity named by Robin Wall Kimmerer in Braiding Sweetgrass has long been a focus of mine, and today, perhaps we can all commit to deeper exploration of what Reciprocal Relationship really feels like -
And so, today’s practice is For the Earth; it is my own exploration of what an Earth-centered practice might feel like.
Join me in offering up all the incredible humaness that we possess as an act of love for the Earth and the more-than-human of this Universe. I hope you enjoy 🌏
*This practice can be done seated or lying down outside; it can also be done while talking a walk.
*all of the content shared in my podcasts, newsletters & meditations is written by me {Meryl Arnett} without the use of AI. If you catch a mistake or typo, I hope it makes you smile knowing a real person is behind every word published 💛
This was beautiful, thank you
