Under the glow of tonight’s full Thunder Moon, we’ll explore the power of illumination and expansion—how moments of clarity can spark deep growth, just like lightning gives way to thunder. Join me in stillness tonight as we listen for the quiet wisdom rumbling within.
Tonight, you are invited to sit under the July full moon - a moon that goes by many names depending on the location, culture, language and experience of the people who named it… The thunder moon is a common name in North America because of the frequent thunderstorms that occur this time of year.
This moon reminds us that clarity and growth are intimately connected. Those moments of sudden understanding, like lightning illuminating the darkness, create the perfect conditions for rapid expansion in our lives. Just as thunder follows lightning, transformation follows insight. When we create space for stillness and allow ourselves to truly see, we prepare for the growth that's waiting to unfold.

A Cosmic Treasure Chest
In late June, the Vera C. Rubin Observatory released its first cosmic images. As the New York Times stated, “scenes of nebulas in the Milky Way, a cluster of galaxies and thousands of new asteroids are a teaser of how the U.S.-funded observatory on a mountain in Chile will transform astronomy.”
It is worth noting there is significant ecological controversy to the development of this observatory. The images are stunning, and I have been reflecting on the pros and cons of obtaining such gorgeous visuals…
